Security Awareness

Although the issue «Information security and SecurityAwareness within the company» causes fairly passionate discussions throughout companies of all sizes and branches, currently only the absolutely necessary measures are taken in most cases. It is rare to find a solution that is even close to being complete, but here and there you can find at least examples for «Best Practice».

An information security can be successfully built up when the executives of the company conscientiously give example on how to deal with sensitive data and IT. This role model is a decisive point in building up and maintaining information security.

The early involvement of executives determines the success of awareness measures and their implementation. Nevertheless, it also has to be considered that the awareness program is not and will not remain a mere IT task. Security culture has to be mandatory thought of, managed and formed across all departments.
